In 2012, I was sitting in an office with members from Stanford Research Institute and the Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (referred to as SRI and DARPA, respectively). The collective task facing us was to imagine and plan for the future of cyber warfare a decade or more in the future from then.1
I would sit with leaders in military intelligence from Navy, to Army, to JSOC, as well as interview prominent hackers. I would ideate and design models for coordinating cyber attacks with military ground endeavors. I would think about all the ways that the internet could be used for military advantage of my United States Government. Taking down power grids. Shutting off internet. Disrupting water filtration or delivery. Hijacking car or tank computers. Running propaganda and disinformation campaigns to create fear or panic.
In one status meeting - after hearing our excited banter about “weapon modules” for gaining access to specific target “nodes” - a DARPA representative said with some exasperation: “Listen, we don’t care about where people are, we don’t care about geography. Just presume we already have access to all of the nodes.2”
I was confused. But confusion precedes a new clarity.
This single statement drastically shifted my perception of reality and perhaps the trajectory of my life.
See, the problem with me then was that I liked to think of myself as intelligent and educated. At that point, I didn’t realize that those terms actually meant disembodied and indoctrinated. But that is what I was.
I had my college degree in psychology and had been building websites since I was 15; I was considered a “gifted” student early on and all of my learning did its job of solidifying a world view of my civilized and knowledgeable prestige. In my twenties, I dutifully drank coffee in the mornings and whiskey at night, read DrudgeReport daily, and inhabited the hedonistic sub-culture of San Francisco, a bastion for self-aggrandizement and a digital fantasyland in the early 2000’s.3
I remember mocking people who believed that the attacks on 9/11 were a government conspiracy4 - with guilt I admit I did it to some close and dear friends5. I believed in scientism and materialism, that our government was protecting democracy worldwide, that the economic system in our country was to be revered by all as the pinnacle of free capitalism, that what my teachers had told me about history and life was fact and the unquestionable truth. In all these ways, I was a “good citizen”.6
I presumed there was a certain order to the world because I had been told so. The order went like this: America good. Democracy good. Vote for your candidate. If you don’t win, vote again. If you don’t like what’s happening: vote harder. Violence is necessary for anything that threatens the good. The news is trustworthy if you like what you hear. Stand with America and you’ll be safe.
I wasn’t naive. I wasn’t stupid. I wasn’t ignorant. The problem was wholly different. The problem was that I was brainwashed.
The trap of the educated is that you begin to believe that gaining certain amounts of knowledge can protect you from the psychological pitfalls and trip-lines that come with the human operating system. In fact, we are taught that: the depravity of life has to do with a fundamental lack of education. So, to escape the depravities of life and thought, one must simply learn to read and then read more than everyone else. And that was me.
I had even learned about the fallibility of human perception and morality in college - with chief examples being Milgram’s obedience experiments and Asch’s conformity experiments - and had spent years creating software that was designed to capture attention in ways unknown to the users. And those experiences fed my sense of intellectual superiority and justified my belief that I was, indeed, somehow immune to the same tricks I was implementing on those basic end-users: you.
The trouble with being a disembodied intellectual or cerebral being7 is that you think that if you know about something then it isn’t affecting you. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I had begun to understand the tricks of commercial psychological manipulation - what we call marketing - but had failed to understand that the origins of this corporate game came from a higher level: the greater game of governance8. Up at the level of governance, these tricks are called propaganda…or mind control.
So, while I thought I was cute and clever by leading users to click on a certain button by placing it in a certain place or making it a certain color, I had yet to come to any significant reckoning with how perhaps such tricks had been used on me.9
That all changed when I sat at that desk with a member of the Pentagon inconspicuously but also pointedly directing me to presume that every device - any and every device - connected to the internet was already compromised10 - so that maybe finally I could stop playing children’s games and start producing something that would actually be useful to them.
“Well if you didn’t need root access to the device, what do you need with the device?” I wondered...
Well, it was never the device you needed root access to manipulate, it was always the one holding the device: You. You were always the prize. And to be specific, it was your beliefs and the actions those beliefs would guarantee.
A decade from then is now.
During the Pandemonium11, friends and ex-coworkers called me crazy, careless, senseless, insane, or sometimes simply resorted to DM’s saying “F*ck You” or comments shaming me for the blindness that my “privilege" was OBVIOUSLY causing. A delightful variety of attacks on my character consistently greeted me in my inbox week-to-week as I attempted to pull down the veil shrouding the dynamics of control and propaganda which I knew firsthand; as I attempted to bring us towards an unadulterated unity and away from greater tyranny.
Now, some of the same people reprimanding me - those that were demanding lockdowns and saying the unvaccinated should “lose their jobs” or “die without access to a hospital” - are screaming to “Free Palestine” and “Save the Children.” And, some of the people that were fighting against curfews, lockdowns and mandates are now yelling “bomb Hamas.” People who were saying “wear a mask even if it saves one life” are supporting the killing of innocent children and women as “necessary collateral damage” yadda yadda yadda. People who called lockdown measures tyrannical are now champions of Israel demolishing and displacing an entire occupied people. At least that’s what we see…
This confusing pendulum of belief, shows that it isn’t someone’s morality which is driving people’s beliefs and corresponding actions.
If it were, people who believe in saving a single life would be condemning ALL violence. If it were, people who believe in freedom would be condemning ALL lockdowns and all occupations. But they aren’t.
Because it is your membership to a group identity that is dictating what you champion and what you do not. Who it is ok to kill, and who is not ok to kill.
This is very important to see and understand.12 We are not here in this special brand of absurdity because of a lack of morality or character.
Listen. Very. Closely.
We are here in a divisive and genocidal moment in time to understand the extent to which mind control and propaganda have influenced our entire concept of reality. Because, the possibility on the other side of this awareness is the society of collaboration that - deep down - we are all searching for.
How do you lead good-hearted people to be the arms and hands and voices of genocide? You simply make them believe it’s necessary.
In the early 1900’s Edward Bernays penned a book titled Propaganda. Similar to Machiavelli’s, The Prince,13 this book was written, as a warning to the populace, an attempt to pull the veil down on how governments and businesses were manipulating the collective mind and driving - with intent - the trajectory of the Western world. Just like Machiavelli’s work, instead of becoming an awakening call, it became a handbook for a million more desk-chair despots and suit-and-tie tyrants.
Bernays had worked with governments and industry titans and saw how the hierarchy of control in the West allowed for the paradigm (and thus consumer/citizen behavior) to be dictated from the top-down.
All to say: You have been played. Not because you are weak or stupid. But because a false paradigm was implanted into this culture generations before you arrived here. It has been maintained, refined, and expanded over time with the astronomical defense budget driving the brainwashing of the entire Western world. And you continue to be played because you are rightfully (and subconsciously) scared of diverging too much from a government that - though they use words like freedom and democracy for all - shows you that if you divert just a bit too much from their agenda, it is a threat of deadly force, domination, and violence that awaits you.
And this is the story: that force, domination, and violence is necessary to stay safe.
Some of you are watching or reading news sources that are recounting over and over the story that Hamas is a terrorist group which killed and did deplorable things to so many people in Israel and, for this, war must be waged. Perhaps you are heartbroken by what this means. You are disturbed when you are told that people around the world are defending those terrorists and you are witnessing a rapid rise in reports of anti-semitism.14
Some of you are watching or reading news sources these days that are recounting over and over the daily Israeli bombings in Palestine, watching videos of bloody and dismembered Palestinian children, demolished hospitals, and vested journalists being assassinated by sniper or missile and all the reasons to defend and liberate them.15
Each side is both in heartbreak, in terror, and activated to action. Each side is pointing to the other and saying “Liars!”.16
And, amidst my own sense of helpless heartbreak, I can’t help but think: Shame on us. All of us. We allow ourselves to be played like this. Over and over again, country after country, topic after topic. We are baited into seeing sides and picking sides because we are so focused on ourselves, on having the socially acceptable outlook or the outlook that reinforces our view of ourselves as more “civilized” or “educated” or, even, “downtrodden”. Again and again children are sacrificed en masse; Put in masks; Injected with toxins: Shot and killed; For some justified headline of some political party; All while the future of this world, our children in the Middle East and at home, are being ritually traumatized watching their families blown up, starving, bloody.
And we can’t be honest enough, humble enough, to see how we’ve been drawn in by pride and fear - the same way we froth for our political party or our football team - to cheer on any military endeavor sold to us by NPR, CNN, Fox, or the Wall Street Journal or whoever our de-facto-God is today. How we’re being distracted from the important connections and work of our community. All of these disgusting organizations being void of integrity and little more than arms of the mind-control behemoth that is ideated and iterated in DARPA projects by excited academics on behalf of shadowy and malevolent leeches who desire nothing but more and more control (either out of their own infantile fear of loss or some demonic sadism which I’d rather not imagine.)17
Don’t you see? People run this world. And it ain’t you and it ain’t me.
Certainly not until we start taking responsibility. And that happens by removing the illusion of “authority and obedience as holy” which has been implanted into our minds. This is forgive-able and understandable as these techniques of manipulation and mind control have been crafted and refined year over year to work beyond your conscious awareness and yet dictate the acts of your waking life.18
Many people are asking themselves as they watch the tragedy and murders broadcast from the middle east: “What can I do?”
I could tell you to have some humility; To take a bold look at what you believe; To understand that the government is corrupt beyond your imagination and always has been; To understand that this - whatever today’s geopolitical heartbreak - wouldn’t be happening if it didn’t serve them in some way; To understand that your power and gift in life is to free yourself from the blinders of the enchantment which turns you into an echo-chamber of partisan headlines and against your neighbors and friends; To see how we each have been fooled and to reckon with the sorrow of such a tragedy, so that maybe, today we can look beyond the headlines and see the world as it is: the plight of the innocent and the rulers as they are, flaccid emperors walking nude amongst us.
When I sat with the folks at DARPA, white-bread American special forces officers, and the Stanford statisticians orchestrating the future of cyber warfare, I was hollowed - gutted - by the goodness of these folks; their plain-spoken necessity, even giddiness, for creating a mechanism of dominating the entire globe; the plain unquestioned presumption that, if the USA was doing it, well then, it must be good; if it would protect “us,” it must be good. They all believed to the bone that “by whatever means necessary” this should be done. I was hollowed and gutted not because I knew better than them, but in that moment, I knew I was one of them.
This is the banality of evil.19 We think we are so far from it and yet we are residing at its core.
We have the opportunity to pass our children a world that has broken this spell of control and fear. We have the opportunity to sacrifice our delusion of security and a self-congratulatory identity - to lay these tired costumes at some sacred altar in a quiet grove of cedars - and trade them to protect the true well-being of our children and the emergence of their creative genius.
I’m not sure how realistic it is that WE - the adults of this now moment in human society - change the world in significant material ways. But, if we liberate ourselves enough from these lies, arrive enough in humility, to see the error of our own ways, we give our children a chance to create the collaborative society that we could only dream of. I believe we are capable of that much, but only if we take on the mission of restoring the purity of our minds and returning to the discernment of our hearts.
It begins with a true reckoning of the deceit and betrayal inherent in the stories we were told and that we now tell ourselves. We will not create constructive solutions in our life until our problems have been properly understood and framed.
The disasters and tragedies continue to mount all around us; the reasons to fear are being created and fed to you on blast, on repeat, with volume turned up; Hurricane destroys city, people raped and beheaded, children bombed and dismembered; tensions rising between Iran and US, US and China...
The world - our personal realities - can shift on a dime when we recognize that government is not created to preserve our liberties, it is solely intent on securing its position of control by any means necessary, and the members of governance are not the figureheads paraded through our worldwide capital buildings or under election day banners but figures residing well beyond the spectacle of the circus and the circus tent.
Someone wants you to believe in the necessity of deadly force, domination, and violence. Will you play his game? Let us be vigilant to inspect who those people are, their motives, and their values before we take their narrative and make it our flag.
There may be another paradigm that 8 million people would choose as doctrine, one that begins and ends with love, which would leave the leeches destitute, hungry, and with only one hope to survive: to join this quiet revolution.
None of my project work was classified and I am at liberty to share what I saw and heard and did…from a legal standpoint at least…
“Nodes” was the word we used to pretend we weren’t referring to accessing internet connected devices. “Internet connected devices” was the word we used to pretend we weren’t referring to accessing your cranial meanderings. “Cranial meanderings” is just something I made up to mean: your beliefs.
No matter whether you were a wanna-be-hippy, investment banker, or software designer; the narcissism is pungent and you can just taste the self-righteousness of progressive civilization cutting the bleeding edge right into the skin of developing nations, gleefully unaware, always in costume with a fancy cocktail at hand and a witty remark at the ready.
I now know it to be a false flag event that was planned and staged in major ways by our own government to justify military action. If you have yet to arrive at this conclusion, I recommend beginning with an investigation into “the demolition of building 7”.
Sorry, Joe.
Watch this creepy example of the US government working in conjunction with television producers to implant subliminal messaging in the early 1960s during television broadcasts. This would have heavily effected the minds and beliefs of those alive during these first decades of common television use #BOOMERS
“Disembodied or cerebral” in this context means to be living wholly from your mind; disconnected from the wisdom of your body - intuition, instincts, and those senses which correspond with natural law - the law of nature - the immutable and unspoken harmonic way of all the world - except for mankind. I believe, we can live in a false paradigm only when we are persistently disconnected from our bodies - a diagnosis which may apply to our entire Western culture.
Governance, a word deriving from “rule/command over conduct."Government deriving from “rule/command over mind.”
And, I am still having my eyes opened to the intricacies of the techniques of manipulating our subconscious brains. Magicians and hypnotherapists understand the fundamentals of mind control and use it with consistent results. Governments do it way better and more often with less playful results.
As the “internet” was a government project - later released to the public - I strongly believe that it was done with the intent to act as both a surveillance and mind-control framework.
For now, this is what I refer to as the period of propagandized terror regarding an invisible and yet-proven infectious disease, lockdowns, curfews, and mask and vaccination mandates; the policy remnants of which remain in our society in new travel restrictions, immigration requirements, FDA procedures, and government loopholes for emergency related controls; not to mention, the new legal categorization of dissenters of mainstream narratives as “domestic terrorists”
Because it fosters both awareness about our own motivations and compassion for those, supposedly, “on the other side.”
My favorite assessment of Machiavelli’s works is by French Author and Historian, Patrick Boucheron. The premise is that even a cursory inspection of Machiavelli’s life show’s his distaste for the power games and the delusion perpetrated on people by the politicians of the time; that, ultimately, he was an outsider of politics and his attempts were to inspire change and liberty within individuals, not to inspire further despotism and deceit of masses. A compelling point which Machiavelli highlighted in his work - particularly relevant for today is: a violent revolt, either brought about by trickery or chance, will allow a “good” king to do bad things; finally the king can put diplomacy aside and use force toward his intent, which he couldn’t do - for the sake of his manicured image - before the instigation…
I hope that some of you can see the ways in which dissenters were categorically labelled as “right wing extremists” during Covid and now any dissenters are being labelled as “left wing extremists” by mainstream media outlets during the Israeli bombings of Gaza. This tactic and framing is intentional.
I will write with more clarity at some point, but for now it is important to state that I am decidedly opposed to genocide and see this current action by the Israeli government as undoubtedly such.
It is a strategic practice to exacerbate the divide in society; And, technology does this effectively by ensuring that you are receiving and seeing messages that align chiefly with one side or the other - but not both equally. The truth is irrelevant in this strategy as long as the people remain divided and concentrating on the other with enmity instead of seeing to the larger agendas of international power structures (such as the WEF, WHO, Banking Cartels, UN) which inevitably are always advanced no matter who wins elections, how many small businesses shut down, how big the class gap gets, or how many blocks worth of people need to get bombed or burnt in order to install a 15 minute city.
But would be naive to say doesn’t exist in this world of ours.
Jason Christoff is one of the better coaches that I know at deconstructing the destructive mind control operations and bringing awareness in clear and simple terms as to how this has been implemented and how to begin to unravel it in your own mind.
The ordinariness of evil, the horrifying truth that we, each of us, can be and has been a party to evil in a multitude of ways. That genocides and mass killings such as reported most notably in Communist China, Bolshevik Russia, and Hitler’s Holocaust, were crafted and implemented not by sadists and madmen, but by regular citizens doing their job and getting embroiled in the identity politics and propaganda of their place and time; Most terrifyingly, in nearly all cases, actors felt that what they were doing was “for the greatest good.” The term banality of evil was inspired by the work of Hannah Arendt as she reported on the Eichmann Trial in Jerusalem in 1960. Here is another take on her meaning.
